Installation
- Lay the battens, with the felt side down, in continuous rows at the recommended centers. Leave a 25mm gap between the perimeter battens and the walls.
- If using SB felt™ 10 Resilient Layer, roll it out across the base structure before laying the battens, ensuring full coverage.
- When planning the floor layout, leave a 10-15mm expansion gap around the perimeters. Fix the flooring boards to the battens using SB-Bond Panel Adhesive and secure with ring nails or screws. Avoid penetrating the resilient layer. Glue the flooring boards together at all teegee joints.
- Use SB-Seal 20 Perimeter Seal to fill the expansion gap around the perimeter, ensuring acoustic isolation from the walls. Alternatively, follow the Robust Detail instructions using SB-RD Flanking Strip.
Full fitting instructions are provided with all products and can be downloaded from the Installation Guides section.
